A Four-Year Cooperaton Agreement for Two Join Research Automotive Projects Has Been Signed

Delphi Automotive and the University of Luxembourg's Interdisciplinary Centre for Security,Reliability and Trust(SnT)have signed a four-year cooperaton agreement for two joint research automotive projects.

The joint research program,dubbed Cost-Effective Automated Testing of ECU-Software,initially features projects on embedded software testing and embedded software safety.

Delphi said that modern vehicles are increasingly characterized by electronic control systems and the amount and complexity of software used in the Electronic Control Units(ECUs)of today's vehicles is rapidly increasing.

The research program aims to develop an automated verification and validation technologies for ECU software systems.

Delphi Powertrain Systems president Steve Kiefer said that the move will allow the company to improve the reliability of vehicles in the future.

"The goal of this joint program is to speed up development of more reliable ECU software systems for the automotive industry,"Kiefer said.
