Decas Cranberry Products has introduced two reduced-sugar dried cranberry lines - Paradise Meadow LeanCrans and Funny Face Dried Cranberries, in the US.
LeanCrans is designed to appeal to adults, while Funny Face Dried Cranberries is a naturally fruit-flavored line designed for children.
Both the lines offer half the sugar, 25% fewer calories and five times the fiber of traditional dried cranberries, which can meet the consumers demand for healthy products, the company said.
Decas CEO Chuck Dillon said that Funny Face and LeanCrans are convenient, nutrient-dense foods that fit into busy, 'on-the-go' lifestyles.
LeanCrans and Funny Face are currently being rolled out nationally to leading grocery retail chains. The 5 oz. resealable packages are sold in the produce, dried fruit and children's snacks sections of the grocery.
