South Africa-based Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT), one of the world's largest coal handling ports, has announced that it exported 7.5 million mt of coal in March, up 37.4 percent from 5.45 million mt in February and up 20 percent year on year.
Coal exports from the terminal in the first three months of the year amounted to 17.15 million mt, increasing by 2.17 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Stocks at the terminal stood at 3.68 million mt at the end of March.
