With the ever-growing competition and rapidly increasing production cost, several US apparel manufacturers are focusing on fashion design competitions to boost their sales and to attract more consumers.
Carolina-based t-shirt manufacturer TS Designs have organized a fashion designing competition to promote the brand while Loincloth Los Angeles, a lifestyle apparel brand, took part in Phoenix Fashion Week’s emerging designer challenge.
“We support a unique line of t-shirts called ‘Cotton of the Carolinas’ which is made with cotton grown in Carolina and we need fresh designs to promote the t-shirts. So we are calling on designers to be a part of this creative experience,” said the spokesperson of TS Designs to fibre2fashion.
Loincloth Los Angeles was selected for participation in Phoenix Fashion Week after an eight-city tour around the country to find the most talented and upcoming fashion designers.
Mr. Clary Jeffrey, co-owner of Loincloth Los Angeles, said in a statement, “We are extremely excited to compete with other talented designers on such as large platform.”
When asked about the challenges faced by the US clothing producers, Mr. Jeffrey says, “We think that the biggest challenge for garment manufacturers is to find effective ways to reach and resonate with their perspective market.
