Specialty pharmaceutical company Avion Pharmaceuticals has launched a prescription prenatal supplement with B vitamins and Ginger, Prenate AM, to ease pregnancy symptoms like nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP).
Avion CEO Mark Pugh said, "It is core to Avion's mission to support patients with a prenatal product that helps enhance pregnancy while meeting important nutritional needs."
The key ingredients of the product are vitamin B6 and ginger, which have been recommended as first-line support for easing NVP symptoms in early pregnancy.
Commenting on the launch, Avion sales and marketing vice president Mike Sullivan said, "We believe it is important for new OB patients to have access to a prenatal vitamin that promotes tolerance to ensure supplementation of key vitamins, minerals and folic acid in the diet."
