Japanese car manufacturer Honda is planning to recall 5,200 Element SUVs and 17 Ridgeline vehicles in the US.
The carmaker's Element vehicles are being recalled to repair trailer hitch wire harnesses as they are expected to be improperly assembled during their production, which could lead to malfunctioning of trailer's turn signal lights.
According to the carmaker, the malfunctioning could lead to functioning of turn signal indicator lights only when the brakes are applied.
Honda is also recalling 17 Ridgeline vehicles manufactured in 2012 in the US to replace the passenger airbag indicator.
The company revealed that Ridgeline vehicles were installed with Canadian-specification passenger airbag OFF indicator lights, which do not meet the requirements of the US federal motor vehicle safety standards.
