US-based chemicals and plastics distributor Nexeo Solutions has signed an agreement with Yparex of The Netherlands to distribute the latter’s products in various countries in Europe.
The agreement with the extrudable adhesive resins supplier is expected to help Nexeo grow its product portfolio with tie resins for multilayer barrier film along with compatibilizers for compounds.
A product family of The Compound Company, Yparex’s portfolio comprises a comprehensive line-up of high-quality, high-tech tie-layer resins, compatibilizers and coupling agents.
Yparex general manager Wouter van den Berg said: “Today’s packaging applications demand a number of material properties that cannot be generated by one single material.
“Therefore, multilayer concepts are widely used in numerous application areas and industries, including barrier films for food packaging, industrial films with oxygen barrier, and medical packaging.
“By teaming up with a renowned distributor such as Nexeo Solutions, we are able to provide even more customers with our innovations.”
According to Nexeo, the adhesive resins of Yparex for multilayer applications give outstanding adhesion between several forms of polyolefin-based polymers and other materials.
The adhesive grades are claimed to have very high processing characteristics. These make them suited for blow moulding, cast film, blown film and extrusion coating and also in the production of thermoplastic compounds.

The partners will be bringing a complete range of products at this month’s Fakuma Fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
