Mutual Benefit Would Improve Customer Service

Mutual Benefit has selected Accenture Claim Components software to improve customer service and to replace the insurer’s legacy claims systems.

Accenture will implement the new system to assist the firm to achieve faster, more efficient claims processing with improved customer service.

Currently, Accenture's Duck Creek Policy Administration is being used by Mutual Benefit as its core policy processing system, writes personal and commercial lines in Pennsylvania and Maryland, US.

Mutual Benefit Group Claims vice president Mark Russell said: "Accenture Claim Components will give adjusters greater control over business processes and customer information, and will enable us to more efficiently manage our claims handling."

"The solution has the depth and breadth of functionality that will give a company of our size a competitive advantage," Russell added.

Mutual Benefit Group chief information officer Rick Laabs said: "It will allow us to take advantage of the configurability of our policy, billing and claims solutions, leverage integrated data and move towards a single view of our customer."

Accenture Duck Creek billing software has also been licensed in anticipation of leveraging the analytical benefits of accessing integrated policy, claims and account payment data.

The claims software provides end-to-end software suite modules to implement individually or as part of a broader migration strategy.
