Switzerland-based Nestlé has opened a new Mövenpick venpick ice cream boutique in Russia, which offers the frozen treat in every starter, main course and dessert on the menu.
The outlet offers culinary creations such as mushroom cream soup with maple walnut ice cream, truffle oil and mushroom chips, and a salad of caramelized pear, goat's cheese, pear sorbet and mix of greens with south-east Asian seasoning, the company noted.
Mövenpick venpick ice cream CEO Andrea Zambelli said that the brand was launched in Switzerland in the 1960s for fine-dining restaurants.
"Consumers in Russia are particularly fond of creamy, whipped ice cream with pieces of chocolate or nuts," Zambelli said.
Also a variety of other salads, soups and hot meals are available along with desserts, milkshakes, smoothies and cocktails.
About 30 different flavors of Mövenpick venpick ice creams and sorbets including 'Swiss chocolate', 'pistachio' and 'strawberry and raspberry', are offered at the boutique.
Mövenpick venpick ice cream is sold in 30 countries globally including China, Egypt, Finland, France, Singapore, Switzerland, Thailand and the UK.
