TUV SUD America, a testing, inspection and certification organization, has granted ISO 9001:2008 certification to Rapid Micro Biosystems' quality management system.
The accreditation for quality system is for the design, manufacture, installation and service of the Growth Direct system that uses a single technology to perform common microbiology tests.
The system, which automates the manual enumeration steps associated with traditional microbial Quality Control, is expected to provide initial results in hours and final results in half the time of traditional methods.
Rapid Micro Biosystems quality director Don Keren said, "This certification demonstrates our commitment to delivering the highest quality products and services to our customers."
