British car manufacturer McLaren Automotive is planning to unveil the new 12C Can-Am edition racing concept sports car at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California, US.
The new concept sports car will be powered by the upgraded 3.8l twin-turbo V8 engine, with improved ECU calibration and optimised cooling system, which enables the powertrain to generate an output of about 630hp.
McLaren has increased the downforce in the new sports car by 30% over the standard variant and its aerodynamic package comprises a carbon fibre front splitter, carbon fibre dive planes, and a carbon fibre wing.
Designed based on the company's MP4-12C GT3 race car, the new concept is equipped with a braking system developed by Akebono, which will observe the extra power output of the car.
Features of the12C Can-Am concept racing car include set of black satin-finished forged alloy wheels, with Pirelli racing slick tyres.
