The 6th BACSA international conference "Building Value Chains in Sericulture" - BISERICA" 2013 , Italy from 7 to 12 April 2013.
The Council of Research and Experiments in Agriculture, Apiculture and Sericulture Unit of Bologna, Padua seat, Italy is hosting the meeting in collaboration with the Black, Caspian Seas and Central Asia Silk Association (BACSA).
The main topics of this Conference will be:
- The role of science, education and training for the building of value chains in sericulture;
- How to create and manage interfaces between agriculture (cocoon producers) – proto-industry (raw silk)
–Industry (from thread to textile)
–Markets (end product) and consumers;
- Sericultural industries funding: Towards new business models.
- The role of brands in rebuilding value chains in sericulture material producers.
The BISERICA 2013 conference is opened to all those involved and interested in sericulture industry - sericulturists, agricultural and industrial producers of cocoons, silk and other sericultural products, administrators, developers, entrepreneurs, traders, scientists and technicians, working in each step or link of production and trade chains.
BACSA appreciates presenting contributions on the main Conference topics as well as country reports, science and technology papers in the field of mulberry and non-mulberry silkworms, cocoon and silk production, pathology, breeding and biology, using silkworm and mulberry for non-textile purposes, post-cocoon technologies, silk enterprise and trade.
Exhibition sessions will also be organized for equipment/tools and sericultural products.
