Hiscox USA has extended its professional liability and general liability policies to allied health professionals, which is currently available in 21 states, including Texas and Florida.
According to the Bermuda headquartered service provider, the offering will be available in California, Illinois and New York later this summer.
The newly introduced service enables, self-employed professionals in the health, beauty, and well-being industries to purchase insurance products directly designed to the specific risks of their industry to help protect themselves against potential claims and lawsuits.
It offers protection against common risks specific to a wide variety of industries, such as acupuncture/acupressure services, art therapy, audiology services, barber/hair styling, beautician/cosmetology services, dance/drama therapy, dieticians/nutritionists, aesthetician services, among others.
Hiscox USA small business insurance expert Kevin said, "We understand that even the smallest claims can have a significant impact on self-employed professionals and we want to make certain that these small businesses have the resources and tools necessary to protect their business."
