In December Last Year Turkey's Coking Coal Imports Totaled 600,517 Mt,up 52.56 Percent

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in December last year Turkey's coking coal imports totaled 600,517 mt, up 52.56 percent year on year and increasing by 62.91 percent on month-on-month basis. Meanwhile, the value of these imports was $94.25 million, up 32.17 percent year on year and rising by 75.91 percent month on month. In December, all of Turkey's coking coal imports were supplied by the US.

In the whole of last year, Turkey's coking coal imports totaled 5.09 million metric tons, increasing by 10.73 percent, while the value of these imports totaled $811.08 million, decreasing by 18.17 percent, both year on year.

Meanwhile last year, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US increased by 45.02 percent to 3.54 million mt, imports from Australia decreased by 34.21 percent to 905,363 mt and imports from Canada decreased by 31.26 percent to 338,707 mt, all compared with 2012.
