Monster Factory has surpassed its $12,000 target with 24 days of Kickstarter campaign remaining.
A huggable collection of mystical creatures has hit its Kickstarter target with just under a month to go.
The Mythicals is the latest line of plush characters from soft toy manufacturers, Monster Factory and features a dragon named Spencer, a unicorn called Margot and strange turtle/squid/bat hybrid, called Louie.
With 24 days still to go on the crowdfunding site, The Mythicals has already surpassed its $12,000 target and will now persue its first stretch goal of $16,000, at which point a new character will be unveiled.
Each Mythical is approximately ten inches tall and features a special edition Kickstarter label and hangtag displaying the character’s name and personality.
Based in Canada, Monster Factory has been making plush character for almost a decade.
'This idea has been brewing for years, and we just can’t shake it,’ read a statement from the firm’s Kickstarter page.
'Neither can our fans, who have made many requests over the years to see their favourite, famous beasts in plush form; so we created The Mythicals.’
A host of new characters are no on the cards as the firm surges towards its stretch goals. Monster Factory will hold a contest to decide the name and personality of each new Mythical created.
