The Nationwide Marketing group plans to offer its dealer members an online platform to buy, sell and trade excess and unwanted inventory.
The program, provided by Harrisburg, Pa.-based Invenshare.com, allows dealers to easily add inventory to the system and conversely search for items by manufacturer, category or model number.
"This will serve as a great tool for our member retailers by enabling them to push inactive inventory and remain competitive in their marketplace," said Frank Sandtner, member services VP of the $14 billion buying and marketing organization for independent dealers.
"We also eliminate any privacy concerns with Invenshare.com being a closed and private environment for the information exchange," he said.
Ivenshare.com will be showcased at the group's PrimeTime conference and trade show next month in Las Vegas, where an introductory show promotion will be offered.
Company founder Josh Willits said the agreement with Nationwide will expand his service from the custom install channel into the appliance and furniture markets.
