Louisiana-Pacific Plans to Expand Its European Distribution of EWP Launched in The UK

The US company Louisiana-Pacific plans to expand its European distribution of engineered wood products (EWP) launched in the UK in 2010 into the markets in continental Europe as well this year. The EWP are being sold in the UK under the "Solidstart" trademark, as they will be in mainland Europe as well. In a first step the company has concluded two sales agreements with Belgian companies. The wood-based panel manufacturer Spano intends to market the EWP supplied by Louisiana-Pacific, particularly LVL, LSL, and I-joists, through the new Spanotech division founded last year. The import trading company Van Hoorebeke Timber has also incorporated LVL, LSL, and I-joists from Louisiana-Pacific into its range of products.
