Retail Velocity, formerly Vendor Managed Technologies, Inc. (VMT), announced its Velocity Data Streaming Service has achieved certified integration with the SAP Demand Signal Management application, which is powered by the SAP HANA platform. The Velocity service provides real-time visibility into retail performance, down to the retail store level by SKU and daily or weekly, for manufacturers running the SAP demand signal management software.
The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Velocity Data Streaming Service 1.0 integrates with SAP Demand Signal Management 1.0, which runs on SAP HANA, by providing critical electronic point-of-sale (ePOS) data and inventory data at the store level.
Since 1994, Retail Velocity has been providing retailer-specific, out-of-the-box adaptors and harmonization algorithms based on its Velocity Demand Signal Repository (DSR) technology, which is the backbone of the Velocity suite.
The technology enables consumer products (CP) manufacturers to closely monitor and manage their product flow from production through consumer purchase. Through the adapters that it provides, Retail Velocity has the capabilities to distribute data feeds to SAP Demand Signal Management that deliver cleansed and harmonized “big data” down to the store and SKU level daily from over 300 retailers and distributors around the globe. Access to this knowledgebase is available to approved and registered consumer goods manufacturers only.
