Crayola Colour Alive: Mythical Creatures retails at £6.99 and allows kids to bring their creations to life with Augmented Reality technology.
Meanwhile, Hasbro’s FurReal Friends JJ My Jumpin’ Pug took second place with it ability to perform trick when petted for the price of £39.99.
Play-Doh Maxi Creative Egg from D’arpege – priced at £8.95 – took third spot, allowing kids to get to grips with finger painting from an early age.
Fourth place was secured by Disney Big Hero 6 Deluxe Flying Baymax from Bandai. Priced at £39.99, the winged action figure has been met with ‘great reaction’ even before the film’s release, scheduled for the end of January.
VTech completes the top five with its Toot Toot Friends Busy Friends Discovery House, priced at £49.99. The Toot Toot Friends can harmonise as they sing in an interactive playhouse setting.
Cathy Ranson, editor in chief of Netmums, said: “The annual Toy Fair is the first place to pick up the year’s trends and 2015 looks like being all about a return to creative play.
“There are lots of affordable options for parents who like their kids to use retro real pens or molding clay as well as tapping on a tablet. And there are several stand-out figure toys which your child won’t want to put down, making them worth every penny.”
