On May 10, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced the initiation of an antidumping (AD) investigation of alloy seamless steel pipes imported from the EU, Japan and the United States.
On March 22 this year, Inner Mongolia-based North Heavy Industry Group Co., representing other domestic steelmakers in the Chinese seamless steel pipe industry, submitted an application for the initiation of an AD investigation for the given products. The period of reviewdecided by China's MOC is from January 1 to December 31, 2012.
The products in question are imports of alloy seamless tubes and pipes of grades P92, 10Cr9MoW2VNbBN and X10CrWMoVNb9-2 from the EU, Japan and the US.
