Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in July this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 767,788 metric tons, up 4.3 percent compared to June, accounting for 67 percent of domestic sales. In the first seven months of the current year, the company sold 5.6 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales.
In July, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 29.44 billion ($982.7 million), up 13.8 percent month on month. In the first seven months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 202.6 billion ($6.76 billion). In July, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 1.82 billion ($60.74 million), rising by 15.9 percent compared to June.
