Style icon and world renowned designer Tommy Hilfiger is proud to announce its association with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund "Americans in Paris" initiative for the fourth consecutive year, along with 10 select designer's during Paris Fashion Week.
The showroom, located at Le 8 Valois, by the Jardins du Palais Royal in the heart of Paris, was open from March 2 to March 4, 2013, during Paris Fashion Week, and displayed 10 designers’ Fall 2013 collections, ranging from women’s and menswear to eyewear and fine jewellery.
Tommy said, “The initiative offers a unique opportunity to support emerging American designers in building sustainable businesses and finding continued success in the industry. My own experiences at the beginning of my career inspired my commitment to mentoring young people who are dedicated to pursuing their dreams. I am honored to be able to share my business and industry experience with them in this setting.”
On March 4, Tommy Hilfiger hosted a round table discussion with the designers to mentor them about how to expand their business internationally. The discussion was followed by a cocktail party in honor of the 10 designers, hosted by Lauren Santo Domingo of Moda Operandi.
Tommy Hilfiger, the designers, members from the Vogue team and the CFDA ended the night with a dinner at La Societe restaurant.
