Textiles and Apparel Attended The Recently Held Morocco Business Summit in Casablanca

Around 170 turkish businessmen operating in various sectors including textiles and apparel attended the recently held Morocco Business Summit, in the city of Casablanca, with the aim of establishing business contacts with Moroccan entrepreneurs.

The Turkish participation at the business summit was organized by Bursa Entrepreneurs and Businessmen Association (BUGIAD), with the objective of increasing exports to the Moroccan market, reports Cihan news agency.

Textile entrepreneurs managed to secure business deals worth US$ 10 million during the business summit, where 300 Moroccan businessmen operating in various sectors including textiles and apparel also participated.

BUGIAD president Ali Fuat said the aim of partaking in the event was to provide Turkish businessmen a chance to establish business contacts and explore investment opportunities in Morocco.

At the summit, Turkey’s Ambassador to Morocco Ugur Ariner said Turkish businessmen should invest more in Morocco, as there are various opportunities for them to grow in the country and expand their production centers.

Moroccan Deputy Minister of Economy M Alove said that nearly 100 Turkish enterprises operate in Morocco and the objective of organizing the summit was bring together Turkish and Moroccan entrepreneurs to further improve bilateral trade relations between the two nations.

The business summit saw participation from a delegation of entrepreneurs representing BUGIAD as well as representatives from Turkey-Morocco Businessmen Association (TUFIAD) and several entrepreneurs from Moroccan industrial sector.
