Hascelik Started Operating Crack Control Line Following Four Months of Test Production

Turkey's leading special steel producer and supplier Hascelik has announced that it has started operating its crack control line following four months of test production.

According to Hascelik's statement, the finishing lines at TOSB Taysad Organized Industry Zone in northwestern Turkey, which were commissioned in the first quarter of the current year and underwent tests during a period of four months, have started to receive orders. The company is now focusing on high added value products with this investment. The company also stated that the new lines have the most advanced technology among lines in Europe.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, Hascelik announced in June last year that the new line supplied by the German plantmaker Dr. Foerster can carry out crack controls longitudinally and transversally for 5-60 mm round and 8-65 mm hexagonal cold treated products according to international standards.

Hascelik operates in seven different cities with nine distribution warehouses. Its HASMIL special steel rolling mill has an annual hot rolling capacity of 200,000 mt, while its HASPARLAK cold treatment center has an annual bright steel processing capacity of 250,000 mt.
