Canadian manufacturer of carton sealing tapes, Intertape Polymer Group has unveiled a new 1100 hot melt carton sealing tape, which has been designed specifically for optimal closure of recycled corrugate, including 100% recycled box.
According to the company, the tape is manufactured with Corru-Grip adhesive technology, which can seal boxes in wider ranges of temperature and humidity compared to traditional hot melt carton sealing tape products.
Intertape PSCST Systems director of product management Mary Jo Burgess said the new product addresses the growing need for a closure solution for corrugated boxes containing post-consumer fiber.
"Over time, we plan to expand the application of this technology to additional products within the IPG carton sealing tape product category," Burgess added.
Intertape has operations in 19 locations, including 12 manufacturing facilities in North America and one in Europe.
