There continues to be lots of interest surrounding Vitran, since it shed its US operations earlier this month.
Last week, TransForce made a bid to acquire all its outstanding shares at US$4.50. Today, Clarke Inc. announced it was buying 1,000 shares of Vitran Corp. at $4.91 per share.
The transaction represents just 0.01% of the total outstanding shares, but brings Clarke's share of Vitran to about 10%.
