XL Group's Excess Liability business is set to offer umbrella and excess liability coverages for upper middle market businesses in North America.
Commenting on the extension, XL Group Global Excess Liability business president Lorraine Seib said that businesses of all sizes are vulnerable to severe mishaps.
"And just one - a costly court settlement, a devastating auto accident in a company vehicle, an explosion at a manufacturing plant - can quickly eat away at a business' general liability coverage and severely impact a business' ability to survive when it does," Seib added.
