Fu Chun Shin Machinery Manufacture Co., Ltd., a seasoned maker of plastic injection molding machines in Taiwan, said it had received orders of NT$460 million in February, a monthly high, mainly from electronics, food-processing and automotive plants in Thailand, China, Japan and Indonesia. The NT$1.26 billion backlogged orders will keep the company’s production lines fully packed till the beginning of the third quarter of this year. Institutional investors estimated Fu Chun Shin will see consolidated sales in the second quarter to beat the historic high of NT$912 million achieved in the fourth quarter of last year, with a promising outlook in the second half to help the company challenge a new high in annual sales this year. To meet customer demand, Fu Chun Shin management has instructed plants in Tainan City, southern Taiwan and Ningbo of Zhejiang province, China to work shifts. S. T. Tsai, general manager of Fu Chun Shin, noted his company will achieve better sales in the second half from the first half as the global economy is recovering. In the months to come, the company will target such emerging markets as China, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Middle East and Brazil to boost sales. Source: cens. com
