In November this year, Germany's construction sector saw a seventh straight month-on-month increase in the level of total construction activity. As indicated by Markit's seasonally adjusted Germany Construction Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), the pace of growth was moderate and slightly slower than one month earlier at 52.1, down from October's reading of 52.6.
In November this year, new orders in Germany's construction sector saw their fastest decline in three months. Also, employment in commercial building projects rose for the seventh straight month. Employment levels increased in overall German construction in November in line with greater output requirements during the month, marking the eighth increase in job numbers in as many months.
