Restoration Robotics Receives CE Mark for Its Minimally Invasive ARTAS System

Restoration Robotics, a provider of image-guided devices, has received CE mark for its minimally invasive ARTAS system.

The ARTAS system, which utilizes physician controlled, computer assisted technology, is designed to enhance the quality of hair follicle harvesting for the benefit of physicians and their patients.

In addition to computer assisted technology, the ARTAS system uses digital mapping and precision robotics to deliver permanent and natural looking results.

The company said by age 35, approximately two-thirds of American men will experience appreciable hair loss, while 85% significant loss in hair thickness will be seen by age 50.

Restoration Robotics president and chief executive officer Jim McCollum said, "We have seen strong interest in bringing the ARTAS System to Europe, and we can now move forward with our expansion plans."
