The Third Thermo°Cool Dynafit Dachstein Triple Will Take Place at Dachstein/Schladming

The third Thermo°Cool DYNAFIT Dachstein Triple will take place at Dachstein/Schladming on 8th June 2013. The top Speed Ascent covering three athletic disciplines (this why it is called The Triple!) and the severe Alpine area will give the racers some tough and demanding but exciting moments.

The three disciplines' race – up to now for invitees of top international athletes only - is getting to be an international race to all sports enthusiasts, pushing them to their limit and beyond while trying to be the fastest ones racing from the start line in Schladming (Austria) to the Dachstein mountain at an altitude of 2.995 meters. Here the race ends at the Dachstein Cable Car Station.

Within a distance of 27 kilometres, the race is divided into the three disciplines: starting with an Alpine Biking leg of 20, 1 km with a total climb of 1320 meters, then Alpine Running for 3 km and 400 meters total climb and finally Ski Running of 3, 5 km and 800 meters total climb. The race moves through constantly changing terrains and temperatures.

The race is going to be more than exciting as the racers have to deal, not just with gaining altitude every kilometre and the hardships and techniques of each discipline, but with the biggest variable: the weather.

Racers will experience different temperature changes within a short time. From the summer-like temperatures at Schladming in the valley to the chilling winter temperatures expected at the Dachstein Cable car Station.

In order to help them through these changing environments, each participant will obtain one professional shirt featuring the Duoregulation technology of ADVANSA ThermoºCool, ideal to provide the needed Duoregulation properties and outstanding wearing comfort during the race.

ADVANSA ThermoºCool provides Duoregulation:

The fabric material is designed to adapt to the thermal needs of the user and provide evaporative cooling or thermobuffering functions as needed, while improving the energy level and well-being of the wearer during the race.

Due to this very special fibre technology an optimal temperature adaption of the body helps to keep the wearer cool and dry during physical activity and thermobalanced during temperature changes, meaning he can perform at his highest level without being too negatively affected by external factors. The Duoregulation technology of ADVANSA Thermo°Cool fabrics helps to keep the body temperature of the wearers closer to the body's thermal Comfort Zone.
