Canada-based shipping and packaging firm Crownhill Packaging has embarked upon plans to promote eco-friendly measures in collaboration with several bodies.
According to the firm, it has obtained credentials and membership as part of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Rain Forest Alliance, which promote recycling, and has promised to consider the ecological aspect in its business model going forward.
The company has recently announced that it uses ExpandOS which is an eco-friendly alternative for packing materials such as those made from Styrofoam that can be easily recycled.
Additionally, Crownhill is offering Paper Nuts for shipping packages, as the nuts break down easily and not clog landfills for generations.
Crownhill Packaging has partnered with Zerofootprint to reduce its carbon footprint, through which it seeks to cover as much of its carbon usage as possible.
