Swedish carmaker Volvo has launched V40 hatchback in Romania which it had debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
The company said that the V40 will be offered with five engine options with the base model featuring the standard 1.6 litre which will produce 150hp, and the top model powered by T5 2.5 litre engine which will generate 254hp.
Its other three diesel engines will generate 115 to 177hp and will facilitate the hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds while offering an average fuel consumption of about 4.5litres / 100km.
According to the Swedish automaker, new V40 hatchback will feature start/stop technology, regenerative energy braking system, city safety, pedestrian airbag, dual front airbags, driver's knee airbag, side airbags, brake assist, dynamic chassis, traction control, climate control and electric heated mirrors.
According to inautonews.com, the new hatch back will be on sale in Romania at a starting price of EUR22,816.
