The Seasonally Adjusted Confidence Index Declined by 1.12 Percent Month on Month

In April this year, the seasonally adjusted confidence index in the Italian manufacturing sector declined by 1.12 percent month on month to 87.6, after minimal month-on-month growth in the preceding two months, as announced by the Italian national statistics institute Istat.

On month-on-month basis, in April the balance of inventories in Italian manufacturing was stable, while assessments on order books and production expectations indicated a worsening.

In April, the index fell 0.46 percent for intermediate goods, 1.48 percent for instrumental goods and three percent for consumer goods, all month on month.
