National Windscreens has been named the preferred vehicle glass replacement and repair supplier in a new contract with ScottishPower, one of the UK's leading energy suppliers.
Several well-known competitors in windscreen repair and replacement submitted tenders for the right to service ScottishPower; National Windscreens was named the preferred supplier due to its extensive branch network, service offering, quality of glass and price.
ScottishPower operates a fleet of more than 2,000 vehicles across the UK so it's imperative that all of its vehicles remain roadworthy at all times. National Windscreens currently has 114 locations UK wide, including branches in eight Scottish cities, and has 41 mobile technicians in Scotland, providing a fast, efficient service across the mainland, as well as outlying islands.
ScottishPower's Contract Manager, Riki Livingstone, comments, "Customer confidence in our ability to deal with any issues swiftly plays a key role in our business - keeping our fleet of vehicles on the road at all times is essential. We need to be able to respond to all call-outs as quickly as possible – our contract with National Windscreens guarantees our fleet remains road-worthy and ready to respond."
National Windscreens offers a dedicated service for all sizes of fleet operator, freeing them up to focus on their core business activities. It currently works with over 150 major companies, emergency services, local authorities and government bodies and is contracted with 95 of the top 100 HGV fleets, primary supplier to 32 of the FN50 car fleets and sole supplier to three of the top five daily rental fleets.
The independently owned company's service to the fleet sector was recognised in the 2012 Fleet News Awards, where it won the title of Fleet Supplier of the Year.
