At the closing ceremony of the International Apparel Federation (IAF) World Apparel Convention held this year in Oporto, Portugal, IAF Secretary General Han Bekke announced that the next convention will be held in Nanjing, China on 23 – 29 September 2013.
The theme for next year's convention will be How to Create Value in the Global Fashion Supply Chain.

The convention will be organized jointly by IAF and member association China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles (CCCT). The purpose of CCCT is to represent the interests of textile industry and its members and to promote the sustainable development of China's textile and clothing trade.
The 2013 Nanjing International Consumer Goods Expo and China Imported Consumer Goods Fair will be held simultaneously to the IAF World Apparel Convention.
