US-based agricultural solution provider Dow AgroSciences has received approval for Enlist E3 soybeans - the latest innovation in soybean technology - from the authorities of Canada.
According to the company, Enlist E3 soybeans are part of the Enlist Weed Control System and the third Enlist trait product approved in Canada.
The Enlist E3 soybean trait, which confers tolerance to 2,4-D, glyphosate, and glufosinate, was evaluated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Health Canada. It was approved for food, feed, and environmental release.
Commenting on the approval, Dow AgroSciences Research and Development vice president Daniel R. Kittle said that Enlist E3 soybeans demonstrates how technology can be used to boost innovation and address significant weed challenges.
Enlist is an advanced system that combines traits, herbicides, and stewardship to deliver weed control that farmers need now while sustaining beneficial farming practices.
