Asahi Kasei Thai ACN Is Expected to Undergo a Scheduled Maintenance Turnaround

Asahi Kasei owned - Acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Thailand is expected to undergo a scheduled maintenance turnaround in June 2013.
 
“The ACN plant located in Map Ta Phut, Thailand will be undergoing a scheduled maintenance turnaround in mid-June, 2013,” an Asahi Kasei official informed fibre2fashion.
 
He further said, “The schedule turnaround takes place after every two years.”
 
He added, “The new ACN plant based in South Korea has already had a commercial start up in mid-February, 2013.”
 
Asahi Kasei operates three plants and six lines of ACN – 3 lines in Japan, 2 lines in South Korea and 1 line in Thailand.
 
The Map Ta Phut, Thailand ACN line has a production capacity of 200,000 tons per year.
 
The ACN plants in Japan are located in Kawasaki and Mizushima. The plant in Kawasaki has a production capacity of 150,000 mt/year while two lines located in Mizushima have a production capacity of 100,000 mt/year and 200,000 mt/year, respectively.
 
The two lines in Ulsan, South Korea have a production capacity of 70,000 mt/year and 245,000 mt/year, respectively.
