Green Process Is Displayed by Jeanologia at Munich Fabric Start

The Spanish company, Jeanologia, renowned for its environmental awareness and focus on the health of workers in the Jeans finishing industry, will be presenting their latest sustainable technologies for processing finished garments in an environmentally friendly and economical manner at the Fashion Fair Munich Fabric Start.

Jeanologia will be present at stand C00 and C02 in the Blue Zone of the Fair to be held in Munich on 5th and 6th of February, where the best weavers and specialists in denim finishing from around the world will present their latest developments around the central theme -"Tomorrow is Today".

During the event, the Spanish company will exhibit for the first time in Germany, textile laser technology, designed under a solid premises of Ecology, Efficiency and Ethics (3E), that avoids the use of unhealthy techniques for operators, allows for greater savings in energy, water, chemicals and time in the jeans finishing process.

In particular, Jeanologia will be exhibiting their new Jeanologia laser 3E Twin that is suitable for the large scale production of jeans. Equipped with up to two laser resonators, TWIN power (a dual dial system) and a unique power control system this technology permits the completion of two legs on the jeans simultaneously.

Reproducing a genuine vintage look and permitting more elaborate designs, this textile laser increases accuracy and consistency while creating a more authentic end result–with the added benefit of reduced production times.

Another advantage the 3E Twin laser offers is the ability to make up to 200 jeans per hour, compared to the 10 units per hour possible with conventional hand sanding or just 60 units hourly that is normal for sandblasting techniques.

In addition to the innovative laser technologies on display, Jeanologia will be demonstrating their EASY MARK and EIM (Environmental Impact Measurement) software packages. Easy Mark has a user friendly interface with a “drag and drop” functionality that is fully adaptable to almost any shape or size used in production – enabling the smooth integration of design and production that eliminates the need for costly pre-production steps.

This software can also generate other design features such as "whiskers", "spots", "breaks" and "chevrons", all available within the Jeanologia design database, which is constantly updated. This tool has been created not only to work as an integral part of  the machine but also as a stand-alone design software.

The Jeanologia EIM software on display is the first environmental impact measurement software of its kind that is specific to the garment finishing industry. This software has been created to provide a tool for laundries that helps them build more sustainable processes in their manufacturing. Installed within the http://eim.jeanologia.com/ micro site, it provides an understanding of the environmental impact by measuring the consumption of water, energy, chemicals and workers health.

As Jeanologia President Enrique Silla said,: "This software provides valuable information to determine if the finishing of the garment is achieved while also reducing the impact on the environment." Also adding: "The future of the textile industry is Ethical, Ecological and Efficient and EIM is the tool that will help us achieve that goal."

During the show, Jeanologia will work with weavers and laundries also exhibiting such as Candiani, Uco, Gonser, Isko, Bossa, DDI, and Tavex Sartex, AMC amongst others, giving hourly demonstrations of the laser technology and showing different washing cycles.

On the first day of the fair at 12.00, the President of the company along with Isko will participate in a "Talking Lunch" during which key aspects of -  "Tomorrows Denim Market in Germany: an approach to the value chain and a look at consumer trends"  - will be discussed. During this meeting you can meet and discuss trends and future challenges faced by the German Denim market, and analyze the wash treatments and innovations presented by Jeanologia
