German Automaker Daimler Is Planning to Expand Its Plant in Central Hungary's Kecskemet

German automaker Daimler is planning to expand its plant in central Hungary's Kecskemet in 2013, according to a business newspaper Napi Gazdasag.

The facility's annual output capacity will be increased to 300,000 vehicles by 2015 from the current 150,000.

Napi Gazdasag said that the company has already started the trial production of the new four-door coupe at the Kecskemet plant.

The company said that the expansion of the facility will cost them tens of billions of forints and it also expects to seek contributions from the Hungarian state.

Daimler has already started production of its Mercedes B class cars at its Kecskemet plant in March 2012.
