South Lanarkshire Council is on the lookout for security software providers in a tender worth nearly £1m.
The Scottish council is looking for a partner to deliver a range of IT security-related services and software over a four-year contract.

It wants a security package that includes file and data security software, software and equipment development services, systems testing services, hardware integration services and maintenance and repair of IT security equipment.
In a notice on the Official Journal of the European Union, the council said it seeks to appoint a "suitably experienced and accredited partner" to deliver IT security related services including:
- 24/7 threat detection, response, and communication in respect of its existing internet security infrastructure;
- hardware break-fix maintenance, software and firmware maintenance, licensing and policy management and change control;
- supply and maintenance of IT security-related hardware and software systems;
- technical security consultancy services, up to and including CLAS/CHECK, supporting a range of projects related to central infrastructure design and the security aspects of line-of-business application development.
The contract's estimated value excluding VAT is £950,000.
