The organisations have signed a memorandum to deliver the development courses for packaging professionals.
The partnership will develop a higher level master’s course which focus on packaging design but also explore the wider agenda including management of innovation, sustainability and marketing.
The courses will be targeted at professionals already working in sectors such as packaging, engineering and technology who are looking to continue studying and keep up with new trends and thinking in these areas as the industry evolves.
IoPP UK managing director Kevin Vyse said: “We are really excited to be working with the Faraday Centre for Retail Excellence to support these new courses for packaging professionals.
“It is a brand new personal development opportunity for those already in employment that want to scale up their qualifications and skills. These courses will complement our portfolio of professional development programmes to help keep packaging professionals educated, informed and connected.”
Professor Cathy Barnes, who works at the Faraday Centre for Retail Excellence, said: “We are delighted to announce this partnership with the IoPP. We have a lot of experience at offering masters level courses to support professional development in the work place. This partnership with IoPP will deliver exciting opportunities to add to our portfolio and we are looking forward to supporting the leaders of the future.”
The IoPP UK was established to respond to the growing global nature of the packaging industry and connect packaging professionals together to share expertise on a global level.
It is designed and led by its members, attracting packaging professionals involved in all aspects of the industry from the supply chain and packaging design to manufacturing, material suppliers, converters, brand owners and retailers.
