Navistar, a US based commercial vehicles and engines manufacturer, has collaborated with Chinese truck maker Anhui Jianghuai Automobile (JAC) to expand their operations in China.
The agreement will facilitate the companies to import IC Bus brand school buses into China, and distribute, design and develop school buses for the Chinese market and export JAC Commercial Trucks through Navistar dealers in Brazil.
Navistar South America president Waldey Sanchez said, "We have an ongoing partnership with JAC to produce MaxxForce? diesel engines and this new agreement adds further collaboration between our companies."
The company is also planning to partner Chinese government officials for offering its school bus safety expertise and share practices.
China is working on implementing a world-class student transportation system governing transportation safety for students, further meeting the local conditions and requirements.
