China imported 410,000 mt of natural and synthetic rubber, including latex, in March, up 33.7% from February, data released this week by the General Administration of Customs showed.
For the first three months of 2014, China's natural and synthetic rubber imports totaled 1.02 million mt, up 16.5% year on year.
The data did not indicate the countries of origin for the rubber imports, which are primarily used in tire production.
