Flexo and offset printing presses producer MPS has sold three presses to Iran based corrugated carton and package printing producer Asan Pack.
The Middle East firm has bought two MPS EB 370 presses and one EF 430 flexo press for installation at its production facility in September 2016.
The sale marks MPS’s entry into label printing market.
MPS CEO Wim van den Bosch said: “After years of economic sanctions, Iran is now the center of attention for many multinational companies, and Asan Pack is responding to this demand.”
Employing over 350 people, Asan Pack currently operates a 45.000m2 factory. It produces 80,000t of corrugated cartons and 20,000t of cardboard packaging with multi-color printing annually.
Asan Pack intends to boost production capacity with the launch of new facilities within the coming year.
Asan Pack will use the two 8-colour EB presses to print labels while the 10-colour EF press will initially print shrink sleeves and wraparound flexible packaging.
The EF features screen and double rewinder units for quick changeovers.
Asan Pack CEO Mehrdad Nabatchian said: “We identified MPS as a reliable partner with superior technology, and they also offered a thorough training program for our operators who are new to flexo and the label printing process.
“We are excited to receive our new MPS presses and embark into the world of narrow web label printing.”
Asan Pack expects the three presses, which features delam/relam units, to allow it to provide a broad range of printing and converting services for their customers.
In June, MPS sold its 8-colour EF 340 multi-substrate flexo press to Poland based West-East Meat Group.
MPS is a provider of flexo and offset press solutions for label and flexible packaging printers.
