Woodland Plans to Launch 11 New Outlets in Gujarat by End of The Current Fiscal

Woodland Plans 11 New Outlets in Gujarat by March’13Leading apparel and footwear brand Woodland plans to launch 11 new outlets in Gujarat by end of the current fiscal, thus taking the total number of outlets in the state to 36.

Most of newly planned outlets would be launched in different cities of the state like Rajkot, Surat, Ankleshwar, Surat, Vapi, Vadodara, Palanpur and Ahmedabad, and would go operational by March 2013, Harkirat Singh, Managing Director, Woodland Worldwide said while unveiling the new Autumn Winter Collection 2012-13 in Ahmedabad.

Already operating eight outlets in Ahmedabad, including the recently launched showroom, which is the biggest Woodland outlet in Western India, the brand plans to launch two more in the city by fiscal end, he said.

About country-wide expansion strategy, he said the company proposed to launch 60 new outlets in different parts of India during current fiscal, and 25 of these stores have already started operations. With this addition, the company now operates 350 Woodland outlets in India.

Having achieved a turnover of seven billion rupees during last fiscal, the company eyes a turnover of eight billion rupees during current fiscal.
