US-based craft beer distributor Craft Central has signed a deal to distribute Carolina Brewing Company’s craft beers in the Triad region of US.
Holly Springs-based Carolina Brewing Company has marked its 20th anniversary by entering the Winston-Salem and Greensboro-area markets for the first time.
Started 20 years ago, Carolina Brewing owns well-known beer brands in the Triangle region such as Carolina Pale Ale, Carolina India Pale Ale and Carolina Nut Brown Ale. The company is expecting to grow further in the area through the new association with Craft Central.
Carolina Brewing Company owner and sales director Joe Zonin said: "In our 20th year of business, we decided to start expanding our distribution.
"Caffey Distributing has a great reputation in the area for years of quality service. Their new Craft Central division shows their commitment to high-quality local breweries. It allows us the confidence to go into a new market with a very knowledgeable staff already in place."
Craft Central, division of Caffey Distributing and Carolina Premium Beverage, headquartered in Greensboro, NC, serves the major part of central North Carolina. It distributes local, regional as well as national brands.
Craft Central president and CEO Chris Caffey said: "We are eager to bring Triangle-based Carolina Brewing Company to the Triad.
"The craft beer drinkers in our area have spoken and we listened. We know this brand will prosper for many years to come."
