Co-optex is well on its way to achieve its Pongal target of Rs 85 crore, having achieved remarkable sales in the last few days, in the state of Tamil Nadu and other states, the MD of Co-optex, TN Venkatesh said.
According to Venkatesh, the good response for its products through exhibitions in other states has prompted the agency to organise more such exhibitions.
Earlier the agency had organised exhibitions in Mysore, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Secunderabad and Bhopal, with one ongoing in Kolhapur.
“Co-optex, which is completing 80 years, is now planning to open more retail outlets in newer regions and will also try to tap new avenues like educational and industrial institutions,” he said.
Co-optex has recently opened three new outlets in Kottayam in Kerala, Bangalore and Mumbai, which has helped it reach a retail store network of 200 stores.
Venkatesh also said that Co-optex has set a sales target of Rs 350 crore for this fiscal year, which also includes the Pongal festival target. (AR)
