Global high performance materials company Ahlstrom has announced the increase of prices on its specialty paper materials produced by the Label and Processing Business Area, due to the recent rises in raw material and energy costs.
According to the company, the increase, which will be effective for all shipments made as of 1 June 2012, will affect all label and processing products worldwide.
Depending on the products and markets, the increase range is expected to change.
Products manufactured by the business comprise graphic, packaging, processing, release and label papers and their main end-use applications include release liners, self-adhesive labels, metalized wet glue labels, flexible packaging and repositionable notes.
Ahlstrom's net sales in 2011 amounted to €1.6bn.
