Worldwide Dispensers of North America, a unit of DS Smith's plastics division, has launched a new front push dispenser for bag-in-box wines and other flexible packaging applications.
The new Mustang front push tap is said to offer extended shelf life to products when used along with Rapak flexible packaging solutions.
Mustang with lowest oxygen transfer rate in the industry offers the best protection against oxidation. It comes with ergonomic wings, thus making the process of dispensing easy, the company said.
The uniform flow and the dispenser's unique gate closing system ensures there is no post-drip.
The dispenser's closing system and overall design is claimed to improve the performance provided by specialized oxygen barrier film used in flexible packaging.
Available for both bag-in-box and stand-up pouch applications, the easily loadable tap is suitable for the dispensing of wide rage of liquids including wine, mixed drinks, fruit juices besides many others, especially small packages.
Worldwide Dispensers operates manufacturing locations in Minnesota and Illinois, the US.
DS Smith's plastics division focuses on three main areas including flexible packaging and dispensing solutions, rigid packaging and foam products. It operates from 28 sites in 14 countries.
With around 25,400 employees, DS Smith has operations in 34 countries.
